UK Infrastructure, Standards and Compliance
Trust is built on clarity. This page explains where your hosting lives, what standards apply, and how we approach compliance in plain English, no technical jargon.
100% Renewable Energy
100% renewable electricity, plus sustainable HVO biofuel for generators. ISO 50001 certified for energy management.
Real Energy Efficiencies
Best-in-class power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1.3 or less — exceptional energy efficiency across all facilities.
Solar Panels
Solar photovoltaic panels covering data centre roofs provide an additional source of renewable energy (524 kWp).
Carbon-Neutral Architecture
Carbon-neutral wall and roof cladding, innovative cooling systems, and heat capture technology.
EV Charging Points
Electric vehicle charging points on-site to help staff and visitors use more sustainable transport.
It's All in the Detail
Green roofs, wood cladding on auxiliary buildings, sustainable landscaping and bug hotels — environmentally friendly at every level.
Where Our Hosting Lives
Our UK hosting runs in Worcester and London data centres. Worcester is promoted as Tier IV certified, and the UK sites are described as running on renewable energy with strong connectivity and redundancy.
What Tier IV Means?
Tier IV is defined as fault-tolerant: an individual equipment failure or distribution path interruption should not impact operations, and Tier IV is also concurrently maintainable.
- 99.999% availability — exceptional uptime and reliability
- The highest levels of fault tolerance
- Continuous cooling to protect your hardware
- Secure compartmentalisation across all modules
Security Controls
Published controls that protect your data at every layer.
ISO 27001 Certified
Industry best-practices for information security. Relax knowing your data is in safe hands with top levels of data protection.
Physical Security
3.6m-high security fencing, perimeter protection, complete CCTV coverage, rigorous access control and intruder alarm systems.
Fire Safety
Certified fire-rated doors, walls and ceilings. Very early fire detection with aspirating smoke detection and nitrogen fire suppression.
Sustainability and Energy Management
Renewable electricity, HVO biofuel for generators, ISO 50001 energy management, and a target power usage effectiveness of 1.3 or less, plus solar PV capacity on the Worcester roof.
UK GDPR Responsibilities
In the UK, data protection is governed by UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act. Contracts between controllers and processors should set out responsibilities clearly, and the controller is responsible for assessing processor competence.
