About Us

ewedesigns was founded in 2010 with a simple goal: to build reliable, well-structured websites and support them properly for the long term. Based on the Northamptonshire border, we work with businesses across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes, while also supporting clients across the UK.

We’re a small business by design, which means when you get in touch, you speak directly to the people doing the work. No call centres, no account managers, no outsourcing overseas — just clear advice, practical solutions and ongoing support from a team that stays involved.

Our Story

The business began after Evelyn, originally working in education but with a lifelong interest in computers, was asked by a colleague about that interest while in a temporary education recruitment role. That conversation led to managing an access server for a small business, which sparked a deeper passion for IT and web systems. One project became another, and in 2010 ewedesigns was officially formed. In 2014, Evelyn also took over Stonyweb, expanding the client base and strengthening long-term relationships.

We started building websites in the days of hand-coded HTML, before drag-and-drop builders were common, and over the years have worked extensively with WordPress, Joomla and full hosting environments including cPanel. That experience means we understand what is happening underneath a website, not just how it looks on the surface.

We host and maintain websites long term on UK-based servers and focus on building sites that are stable, secure and able to grow with your business. We don’t offer a 24/7 call centre, but we do take responsibility — even when away, we ensure we have access to a laptop and internet for genuine worst-case website or server issues and for communication.

Many of our original clients are still with us more than 15 years later, which reflects our focus on longevity, reliability and clear communication without technical jargon.

The Next Chapter

In 2025, the next chapter begins as Euan steps into a growing leadership role within the business. With a college background in engineering and a methodical mindset, he brings structured thinking and technical depth to development and hosting, alongside experience in WordPress, Joomla and cPanel environments. This isn’t a reinvention of the company, but continuity — a family business thinking long term and building something designed to support clients for decades, not just individual projects.
